The story so far:

Let me take you back to 2009 – the year Mumford & Sons’ “Little Lion Man” topped Triple J’s Hottest 100, Michael Jackson stopped making music (permanently), a film retelling the story of Fern Gully with really tall, blue aliens broke box office records, Susan Boyle shocked the world on Britain’s Got Talent, and Facebook casually sauntered past the 300 million user mark.

Jess was living in north Brisbane with her pug & rottweiler, working as the Receptionist at a finance company and attending classic mini shows with her 1976 red Mini S, ‘Cherry’.

Tim was finishing up his Graphic Design course at TAFE, living with his mum & brothers at Elanora, and working on ‘Grumble’ – his own 1975 matt black Mini S.

It was on one fateful day in 2009 that Tim attended his first classic mini car run, meeting the Vice President of the Mini Owners Club of QLD (also known as Jess). They spent a magical day together – where Tim told Jess to stop being a b*tch about a mutual acquaintance (fair call Tim), and Jess decided Tim was a rude teenager with an impressive afro (she still has the pictures!).

The following week they both attended a group dinner and realised that maybe they could be friends. Friendship soon became “this is awkward but I don’t like you that way” “Eww neither do I” which was then followed by dating and eventually, love (natural progression really.)

Fast forward to 7.5 years later, and Tim woke Jess up very early on a Sunday to propose in their very own home, where Tim said he was always the happiest (nawwww!)

The Venue:

We became official owners of Graphic Design Co warehouse almost 3 years ago. Originally the home of a glass company, we transformed it into the awesome space it is today with the help of amazing friends & family. When choosing a venue for our wedding, we chose this space that we created ourselves (also, where we could get our drink on without worry of closing times!)

The Ceremony:

Our ceremony will begin at 4.15pm sharp. We would love for everyone to arrive at 3.45pm and grab a drink, ready to toast our new marriage!

The Party:

Cocktail seating indoors, mixed seating in outdoor areas

The Food:

Our amazing friends at See You Next Thursday will be catering the event and will ensure no one goes hungry! Please specify on the RSVP form if you have any dietary requirements – gluten free & vegetarian options will be available.

The Drinks:

Beer, wine, soft drinks & water available at the bar (free booze, can I get a hell yeah?)

How to get there:

Take Reedy Creek Road and turn at Taree Street (opposite Treetops Shopping Centre). Turn first right at Kennards Hire onto Burleigh Connection Road. Rothcote Court is the last left before the dead-end. The warehouse is located in the orange units halfway up Rothcote Court on the righthand side.

Who to contact:

Jess loves you, she really does. But she will be very busy on the day of the wedding and won’t be contactable via phone.

Please call Ellen (mother of the groom) on 0422877463 with any urgent issues/enquiries.
